Stay in our lofts during your trip to Baja California Sur and enjoy comfort, location, and security at the best quality/price ratio
WORLD-FAMOUS BEACHES | EXCEPTIONAL MARINE WILDLIFE | QUIET LIFE
There are moments in life when it’s necessary to take a break. A stop.
A small pause along the way to disconnect and enjoy.
And La Paz, in Baja California Sur, is the ideal place for that. For its unhurried pace. For its vast natural heritage, its cuisine, and the friendliness of its people.
Alright, La Paz is the place to be, but… where do I stay?
At Casa Canona, we love architecture. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the place and sleep deeply, recharge your batteries, and start your days of rest in La Paz in the best way, with silence and peace — pardon the redundancy — as our hallmark.
Our accommodation in La Paz is located just a 5-minute walk from the boardwalk and the city center. It’s a very quiet and safe area, with two markets nearby and small shops where you can find everything you need during your stay with us.
The exact address is Aquiles Serdán 1770, between Melchor Ocampo and Santos Degollado.
If you come with your vehicle, we don’t have private parking, but there is usually free space on the block where we are located.
The bus station is just a step away from here, in case you want to use public transportation to visit the main tourist attractions of Baja California Sur.
And from the airport, we are just 15 minutes away by car, a journey that will cost you around 200-250 pesos in Uber or taxi.
In summary: if you come to La Paz to visit Balandra, Tecolote, Isla Espíritu Santo, the Sea of Cortez — which Jacques Cousteau called “the aquarium of the world” — and the city’s Californian-style downtown… this is the place.
The best thing about a hotel is the comfort; you don’t have to worry about anything because there is everything you need and the feeling of rest is maximum. The only downside, especially in such a tourist destination as this, is the price.
The lofts in La Paz at Casa Canona provide that comfort at a price well below the city’s average hotel rates. They feature a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, spacious beds, bathrooms with hot showers, air conditioning, and a work area with 40 Mbps WiFi, both upload and download speeds.
Here are the four spaces that make up our accommodation in La Paz, all equipped with this:

Fully equipped kitchen

That being said, why should you make your reservation directly from this website?
Remember, only if you book from here 😊
At Casa Canona, we don’t have private parking, but you can park your car on the street, which is safe, and there’s usually space available at any time of the day.
Yes, La Paz is a safe destination compared to others in the country, and Casa Canona is in a quiet area where you can walk everywhere.
Absolutely, yes. It’s ideal for couples, in fact. The Manuelita, Patio, and Ocampo rooms have a king-size bed, while the Terraza room has a queen-size bed. You can also come in a group, as Manuelita and Ocampo have a sofa bed with extra capacity for up to two people.
Casa Canona is open all year round, although La Paz’s high season runs from October to May, and the low season from June to September. During the high season, the weather is mild, and it’s the time for whale watching, sharks, sea lions, and more marine life in the Sea of Cortez. In the low season, temperatures rise, and the number of marine species to observe decreases.
It’s not recommended, like in the rest of the country. But in the patio, we have a water dispenser, both cold and room temperature.
